run.

MATERIALS

PREPARATION

Everyone lines up against a wall.

OBJECTIVES OF THE ACTIVITY

To explore how stereotypes shape the way a person thinks.

DESCRIPTION

The facilitator simply asks the group to run across the room like a
girl. Once they reach the other end, they are asked to run back
across the room as a boy. Finally, they are asked to run across the
room as themselves.

REFLECTION

In the reflection, participants are asked about the differences they
saw or applied themselves as they ran as different genders. The
topic of stereotypes is discussed and where it is observable in
modern society.
